This is my model of an Earth Alliance Warlock-class Destroyer, from Babylon 5. This model was created to be one of the epic models of Babylon 5, like Michael Stetson's Omega-class Destroyer. I began the model on September 27, 1999 and completed it on January 3, 2000. I decided to make this model after a fellow modeler (Colonel Havco) decided to make a Warlock based on the models already on-line and speculate on other details. I began my quest to create the ultimate Warlock model. With the help of Tim Earls (the guy who designed the Warlock) I began to work on my existing model. After seeing an episode of Crusade that showed the Warlock, I decided to create another model from scratch with the help of a SGI O2. Before I started, Stuart Compton (one of the developers for Sierra's Babylon 5: Into the Fire) released good pictures of the actual Warlock. I finally got around to working on the model.
For all of you who aren't very familiar with Babylon 5, the Earth Alliance Warlock-class Destroyer is one of the warships of the Babylon 5 universe. It is the newest, most powerful warship of the Earth Alliance. It is the first Earth Alliance ship to have artificial gravity. It is about 2000 m long. It can open its own jump points. It is heavily armed. Its main purpose is to act as a planetary bombardment ship, using its missiles. For more information on the Warlock, visit The Warlock Project.
This model was made for two purposes. The first is that I love the Warlock and wanted to make the best model I could. The second is fame. I wanted to permiate the Babylon 5 modeling/rendering community as Michael Stetson did with his Omega-class Destroyer. So, if you make a rendering using this model, you must credit me (as per the terms of usage).
I would ask you that you do not
alter this model for any use other than personal use. This model is not to be
used for any commercial purposes. If you have found a way to improve this
model, please E-mail me at "csapiano@hotmail.com".
Now, for the legal stuff, this model is a copyright of Chris Sapiano, 2000.

This version is similar to the prior released version. I added some new details. I also brought the Omega engines closer together. I changed most of the materials adding to the accuracy of the materials. I completely replaced the GOD Particle Cannon material and now I believe that it is perfect. I also changed the lighting setup to give it a more Warlockesque look. I changed the the lens flares used in the model to look more accurate. I made use of the track view as well to make the lens flares look better and more realistic.
This section was created for the express purpose of thanking all of the people who helped me (directly or indirectly) in the creation of this model.
There are five people who I would like to thank above all others: Tim Earls for creating the Warlock and for putting up with more than a few questions; Stuart Compton, though I didn't approve of the way he went about releasing the pictures, but nonetheless the images were still very usefull; Colonel Havco for challenging me to take the Warlock to this level of detail; Lars Joreteg for capturing many pictures of the Warlock for me which I used for referance and Michael Stetson for creating his model of the Omega class Destroyer which set a level of detail which I strived to reach. I would like to thank my five beta testers: Brandon Bray, Conor Clancy, Rob Morrison, Thomas Banner and Scott Schimmels. I would like to thank the good people at Time Warner Entertainment and J. Michael Straczynski. Tigreclaws for posting images on his website (and putting up with more than a few image postings promoting these models) and Togashi Ichi for creating the original personal model which gave me a basic idea of the Warl
